And this is a novel analgesic agent possessing an activity profile distinct from that of narcotic, narcotic-antagonist and analgesic antiinflammatory agents.
We controlled 150 cases of postoperative pain and musculoskeletal and dislocation pain, cancer pain, with Nefopam hydrochloride (Afopam) 20mg. intramuscularly of intravenously and good responses were obtained with mild side-effects sleepy and nausea, dryness of the mouth. Tolerance to the analgesic did not develope.
